  Alan Hansell is an IBRS advisor who focuses on IT and business management. Alan is able to critique and comment on IT and business management trends, ways to justify and maximise the benefits from IT-related investment, IS management development and the role of the CIO. Alan has extensive experience in IT management, consulting and advising senior managers in matters related to IT investment. He was a Director in Gartner's Executive program and adviser to over 50 CIOs and business managers and before joining Gartner a consultant with DMR Group. He also worked as an IS professional, manager and industry consultant for IBM for nearly 30 years. Alan is a CPA and Associate of Chartered Institute of Secretaries.

  Guy Cranswick is an IBRS advisor who covers Google (Apps and Search), broadband/NBN, Web 2.0 technology, government and channel strategy, including areas of business productivity. Guy has worked in the UK and France as Strategy Manager for Initiative Media and director of European operations for Modem Media (Poppe Tyson), the first online marketing and development company. In Australia, Guy was Senior Analyst at both Jupiter Communications and GartnerG2 covering online technologies and strategy in Asia-Pacific. He has published analytical articles n business and technology media, including the AFR, and was the winner of the Australian Institute of Management 2003 essay prize on the topic of corporate communications, which, quite early, suggested organisations use blogs.

  Irene Pimentel is an IBRS analyst who focuses on news and information on the global IT Outsourcing market. Irene provides IBRS clients with up to date information on all outsourcing deals that are taking place helping our clients understand who is winning business in what markets. With over 10 years experience as a management consultant, Irene has worked with some of Australia's largest blue chip companies and public sector organisations. Irene has also worked as a research manager for an IT sourcing consultancy, providing clients with targeted intelligence and advice for their specific IT sourcing transactions.

  Jorn Bettin is the IBRS advisor for risk management, knowledge engineering methodologies, semantic modelling, financial services software, large-scale architecture management, and software as a service. He has pioneered model-driven approaches, has co-authored three books that cover the management, engineering and quality aspects of Model Engineering, and regularly speaks at international conferences. In the late 90s he worked in methodology leadership roles at IBM and initiated the Eclipse Generative Modeling Tools open source project. Jorn has an extensive track record in guiding organisations through difficult technology transitions/paradigm shifts, which includes over 20 years of experience in the IT, banking, and insurance industries in Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and New Zealand.

  Justin Butcher is an IBRS Advisor focusing on enterprise architecture. Justin is an experienced Enterprise Architect and Technology Architect with over 10 years’ experience in Federal Government. Justin provides insights into the practical application of Enterprise Architecture to address real issues that face modern enterprises. Joseph is also engaged in research focusing on technology’s role in the education sector. Joseph is an accomplished business strategist and technology-marketing expert. Before joining IBRS in 2007, James was Frost & Sullivan's industry analyst for IT security. Prior to becoming an industry analyst, James held roles such as UNIX sysadmin, through to Hosting Infrastructure Manager, to customer relationship manager. James is a recognised expert in his field, is the only industry analyst focussed on IT security in Australia and New Zealand, and is frequently quoted in the press. He is known for his passion about his subjects, and is an excellent public speaker and group facilitator.

  Dr. Kevin McIsaac has over 20 years of IT experience and is a recognised expert in IT infrastructure, operations and vendor management. He has indepth coverage of Server VIrtualisation, Storage and Virtual Desktops. He has worked as an analyst for over 11 years, and was the Research Director Asia-Pacific at META Group. Dr McIsaac has held leadership positions at Computer Associates and Functional Software. He is a highly sought after speaker who is regularly quoted in the global press.

  Phil Hassey is an IBRS advisor that focuses on managed service providers. Phil is able to comment on IT services procurement, business process outsourcing, Infrastructure outsourcing and management, GIS technologies and Green IT. Phil has over 15 years experience in corporate strategy, consulting and market intelligence, gained in a diverse range of organisations and industries.
