Corporate spending on information technology is expected to grow marginally in 2012 but chief information officers face another tough year focused firmly on driving down costs as management teams keep a nervous eye on global economic conditions.
Research company Gartner has forecast that Australian enterprise spending on information technology will rise by a modest 1.9 per cent to $61.9 billion this year. It had declined in the two previous years from a high of $64.3 billion in 2009.
